Supporting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals

Step-by-step action plan

  1.  Make an official commitment: commit the company's No. 1, as well as its management committee, and motivate the HR, Purchasing, Research & Development, Sales, etc. teams to see how to apply the selected SDGs in their activities.

  2. Reveal current and future opportunities => based on your global strategy and the needs of your sector and society in general.

e.g. how to reduce CO2 impact, how to optimise the circular use of natural resources, how to offer new decent jobs, etc.

  3. Maximise the positive impact by imagining new business opportunities => innovation & partnership.

e.g. optimising a product to reduce energy bills, offering a service alongside the sale of a product to improve user comfort, etc.

  4. Create positive spin-offs => measure your level of ambition through results and progress.

e.g.: compliance with SDG 12 has enabled us to reduce our consumption of drinking water by 10%, and we expect to achieve a 15% reduction over the next 5 years.

  5. Reduce potential harm => consider the consequences and see how they can be avoided and resolved in the future + communicate progress and ambitions internally and externally.

e.g.: our project will help to support MDG 7, which promotes renewable energy, but will have an impact on the local community (MDG 10) in terms of inequalities.
